Halloween
Last weekend was celebrated the worldwide known celebration of Halloween ( October 31st). Here in Spain this celebration is no more than another reason to have party and a good time with your friends, at least that is what I believe.
Personally, I do not like this festivity too much as I have never celebrated it until this year. Despite this fact, I would like to say that I really enjoyed Halloween Day as I spent the whole evening with so many people at the college residence where I am staying while I am studying here in Murcia.
All of us made and dressed up ourselves and, the whole residence was decorated with pumkins, dark lights, bats and everything related to this event.
One interesting fact that happened that night was about a young man who is veteran and from the North of Spain. He cooked a drink called "Queimada" and at the same time he was doing it, he was doing a kind of spell in Galician language (I did not know about this drink until that moment) . He used apple, coffe, sugar and a really strong alcohol. I did not dare to try that drink as I found its smell disgusting. Likewise, when he was preparing the alcoholic drink everybody was around him watching how he was doing it as it was quite curious.
I definitely fancied last Saturday with my friends and I am sure that I will not forget that day, because I had so much fun.

A new life is starting..
Hi everyone! I just feel like writing a new post to talk about how amazing it is for me to be here, in Murcia, as a university student. I know this is only the beginning, but trust me, this is being one of the best ( and few) experiences in my life in which I'm enjoying and appreciating every single moment. Well, at least that's the intention..
I've never been a self-confident person, the truth is.. I didn't use to believe in myself, and I say "didn't" because since I ended Bachillerato I've have learnt that if you don't believe in your posibilities.. Things will get worse and even worse. I've felt it personally when I started 2º Bachillerato because from the very first time I was kind of obsessed with "marks". I was certain about that I won't pass "Selectividad" and that I won't be able to achieve my goals.. If you ever ask me to describe that course in only one word I'd say: frustation. Yes, that's how it felt. I couldn't study because my mind wouldn't let me, the sentence that I was constantly repeating to myself was: "Oh, you can't do that, you should give up". I know this may sounds crazy, but that was my reality every single day during last year.
After all this "dramatic" situation I finished Bachillerato much better than I expected and.. "Selectividad Day" arrived.. Surprisingly, I wasn't specially nervous (lucky me!) ,I did the exams quite good as I decided to stay calm and tried to do my best. As a result, the exams were quite good!!! I've never felt so proud of myself, the moment when I knew about my marks I was like euphoric, because I couldn't believe that I did it, I would be able to do what all that time I had been looking for! Studying English :D Really, whenever I remember that moment I smile, because I learnt that just believing in you and eliminating all the negative thoughts: you can get whatever you want, if you really want it, I mean.
I know that these last words sounds like a "typical" speech and yes, maybe it is, but it's also the true, at least ninety per cent of the times. Since then, I'm trying to believe in me and all the chances that I've got, although I know that all these things have happened to me because I'm a very demanding person, and I'm never content enough, I believe that you can always do better. There's always something to learn and to improve of your own.
Keep working: that's my slogan!

A new experience in the mountains!
Hi everyone! Here I'm, like every week to tell you something about my life. So, today I'm going to talk about my last experience in the mountains.
This Sunday morning I've been in the countryside with my family, we have spent the whole day together having a picnic as it has been my little cousin's birthday. The moment that I've enjoyed the most it's been when we all have done some trekking through the mountains. However, it's been a point when I was really tired, but I didn't mind at all as I was having such a great time with my family!
I'm sure that I won't forget this day, as I'm not going to see them for two weeks. I'll miss them lots!!

Problem/ Solution Paragraph: Man on the Edge
In this episode, there's a young man who wants to jump from the top of the hotel where he's just checked. The reasons why he wants to kill himself are mainly two. The first one is that he got fired, and the second is that he brokes up with his girlfriend. He believes that the easiest and quickest solution to his problem is to jump from there.
I believe one of the most effective solution to his problem would be looking for his exgirlfriend and telling her about him, so that she'll try to persuade him not do it. However, if they cannot find her they should look for a friend or someone who is important in his life. All in all, I think that if they carry out this solution, he won't jump so, he will be able to continue with his life.

Comparison/Contrast Paragraph: Different ways of loving music
Singing and playing an instrument are different ways of enjoying music. Both, can be practised on your own or with a undefined number of people. Likewise, at the same time as you sing, you can play an instrument and vice versa. I believe that singing is just as difficult as playing an instrument. However, there are some differences such as singing is by far cheaper than playing an instrument as you need to buy the instrument itself. Commonly, the public who attend concerts is more different than the public who go to instrumental concerts. Generally, the first is usually younger than the second one. Each way is a particular manner of being fond of music, though as I said, they are both diverse.

Birthday party
Hi everyone! I've enjoyed this weekend so much, here, in my hometown. I went to a birthday party that some mates had been organising for a friend , his family went too and I had so much fun! I had a really good time with some friends that I hadn't seen for weeks, so I was really looking forward to meet them. My friends and I baked on Saturday morning a delicious chocolate cake to bring to the party and we printed some funny pictures and bought balloons to decorate his house, that is the place where the party took place. Fortunately, my friend has got a huge garden so we didn't have "space problems". I'm sure that it has been one of the best time I've had with my friends since we're not together in the same place as we are all go to the university all over Spain. I miss them so much!
