Black Friday is commonly known in the United States as the day after Thanksgiving Day when most shops offer sales. This day is seen as the beginning of Christmas shopping. Some people make the most of this day by buying a lot of items, even unuseful ones. As a result of this, it is believed that sales are becoming us more addicted to shopping. The question is do we just buy what we need or do we just buy more than that?
First of all, I believe that going shopping is a good way of disconnecting with the rest of the world. It may sound contradictory but I believe that it is also a good way of relaxing. Despite the fact that going shopping is, at the same time, crazy because of many reasons. Out loud music, a crowd of people and big shops for instance are some reasons that make going shopping crazy.
Black Friday first took place in the U.S. Although, it is becoming more and popular all over the world. Here in Spain this Day was not that famous until a couple of years ago, when it was introduced. From my point of view, on this Day most shops only offer a 20 % off discount so I would rather go shopping on shopping season (January, Summer..) than on Black Friday.
Most people drive crazy on this day, mainly in the United States. They take advantage of these sales by buying a lot of thing, even unuseful ones. This happens because they just can't help (me partly including) buying bargains such as a nail polish that usually costs 7 euros and on sales only 2. Despite the fact that you do not need it you feel like buying it just for its economical price. I know that is a silly example. However, this is not all about nail polish, but clothes and even electronical devices.
Overall, Black Friday is an intellingent way of encouraging people to buy a lot of things even if they do not need them. Just for the fact of wasting money. We should take advantage of this kind of sales. Although we should just buy something if we are really going to use it. Unless you do not want to feel guilty about yourself buying stupid things
